As a DJ, Morel is one half of BLOWOFF (alongside partner Bob Mould). The pair’s bi-monthly ‘Blowoff” residency at Washington DC’s legendary 930 Club has become one of the city’s most celebrated club nights earning them equally successful residencies in NYC and San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago and Provincetown.
Morel's band DEATHFIX (Rich Morel, Brendan Canty, Mark Cisneros, Jerry Busher) just released their debut record on Dischord records. www.deathfix.com. Deathfix just returned from their first European tour and will be playing a west cost tour with Pinback January 2014.
