State of Emergency: How Can The Trans Community of Color Come Together to Create Visibility & Change?

Baltimore City is lacking a cohesive and visible Trans Women of Color Community that unites in time of hardship and adversity. The purpose of the gathering is to bring together various Trans Women of Color leaders in Baltimore City to brainstorm and discuss solutions to combat the violence, erasure, and mistreatment that we experience at the hand of institutions in this city. Before we can ask others of accountability and transparency then we have to do it amongst ourselves. Everyone has a voice and everyone needs to be heard. While we appreciate interest from allies this is a Trans Only meeting, as we need a sensitive and safe space for individuals to express themselves.
