"It's theater, not therapy," our acting teachers used to scream at us. Well, for Adam Cooley (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, HAIR, Avenue Q) and other special guests, it is...especially during a cold, dark winter. Come for an evening of contemporary musical theater featuring songs from Parade, Myths and Hymns, Next to Normal, Grey Gardens (among others) and pieces by the ever-so-theatrical Rufus Wainwright and Elton John. The characters for which these songs were written could use a little therapy, and lots of it.
