Meditation is................
An ordinary person may consider meditation as a worship or prayer. But it is not so. Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. "Watching your breath" is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation. Meditation is not a technique but a way of life.

Organizer' s Bio
Monique "Mahogany" Mercer is the owner of The Healing Sanctuary 444 in Laurel, Md, where she offers sacred once-a-month group meditation and Healing Touch sessions. She is the facilitator of The Power Goddess Movement which increases awareness of self-care among women. Monique has a background in medical-surgical nursing, and has added Healing Touch to her menu, currently serving as a Practitioner Apprentice. Healing Touch uses the gift of energetic touch to enhance wellness in her clients. Monique has participated in wellness retreats to spread the knowledge of Healing Touch and its benefits. She is committed to healing the world one person at time.
