Well-balanced food and wine
Great food that was well-balanced in terms of flavors. I had prawns with polenta as appetizer. Beautifully presented and none of the flavors overpowered any of the others. Good light flavors for the white fish of the day with cauliflower puree instead of potatoes. White chocolate raspberry pot du creme was perfect; creamy but not too liquid and not too solid. Good mix of flavors and textures. Also had the white wine flight. Three glasses of wine ranging from mildly dry to semisweet. Perfect meal. I wouldn't change a thing. .
Slick atmosphere, gay friendly wine bar
My boyfriend and I often stop in here for a bottle of wine (especially on Monday nights when they're half price) and a small bite to eat. We never get a table because we prefer to sit at the bar where the atmosphere is slick, modern, and comfortable. The bartenders are always knowledgeable about the wines they're pouring and can make suggestions about which food selections to pair with them. It's a good date place, and we often notice other gay couples enjoying the food, service, and ambiance at this Harbor East restaurant/wine bar.
