Good TImes

Enjoyed this place throuoghly, I showed up by myself a bit too early but it rapidly picked up at 10PM for "Hip Hop Night" The crowd was good and the music was good. Reasonably priced drinks too and a friendly staff. I recommend this place highly if you are into all of the above.

THE place to go

The Hippo is the place to go if you're newly out or just new in town. It is the center of Baltimore's Gay Community!

The grande dame of baltimore clubs

It's been there since the 70s when it was called the Pink Hippopotamus. I've seen it through many incarnations, but the dance side has remained the same. It's always fun on weekends. It actually gets pretty mixed on Saturday nights with straight couples going. It's kind of a perennial for Baltimore.
