First Time but Not the Last Time

I went to the Hippo 2 weeks ago for the first time and I really enjoyed it. A lot of hot men there and the bartenders were really nice and on the ball with the drinks. I can't wait to go back again.

Fun place

Every thursday night is Hip Hop night. I like to go with some of my girlfriends, but we are the only girls there. We love to go and dance there. It doesnt get crowded till around 1130. Also...Every first sunday of the month is Ladies Tea.... Starts around 5? and is over at 11.....then everyone moves to Coconuts for the after party :)

Great Dancing and Karaoke

The Hippo (along with Grand Central) is one of the two major general-purpose bars in Baltimore, both located at the corner of Charles and Eager Streets. Whereas Grand Central has a nicer pub and billiards area, The Hippo's pride and joy is its huge, very impressive dancefloor. The actual dance area is sunk below the floor surrounding it, so that shy spectators can get a great look at all the sweaty, shirtless dancing fools. The Hippo has karaoke in the back room on Wednesday and Friday night; this is a popular, well-attended event, so if you want to be a star for the evening, this is your chance. Overall, the crowd at The Hippo is all ages, though the dancefloor is dominated by the cute twinkish types.
